Montinia Darby
Counselor
Montinia received her Master of Education and Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. Her Bachelor of Science is from Indiana University. Montinia has many years of experience in elementary education administration, serving asassistant principal and principal on the east coast as well as in Washington Township and Indianapolis Public Schools. She has honed her counseling skills serving at College Park Church in their Soul Care ministry, prior to joining our team here at Luma Counseling.
Having a deep love for God’s word, Montinia enjoys leading Bible study when she is not counseling. Listening to music and singing are two of her most favorite things to do as well and she thinks she will someday learn to play the piano. Montinia and her husband, Joseph are empty nesters with children who live locally, in other regions of the USA, and abroad. Recently they have begun to make plans to travel more often to see them.
